Schooling

& Hemophilia

Children with Hemophilia can fully participate in school with appropriate awareness, accommodations, and care planning. Education is key to independence and inclusion.

Supportive Practices

  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or health plans
  • Training for teachers and staff on handling bleeds
  • Access to nurse or first-aid provider familiar with treatment
  • Clear emergency contact systems and documentation

Activities & Safety

Students should be encouraged to participate in most activities, with caution taken in contact sports. Safe alternatives and pre-treatment should be coordinated with parents.
